DAY SERVICES
RESOURCE CONNECTION
At The Go-Give Project, our Resource Connection service goes beyond the conventional. We are dedicated to helping you find the right services to meet your unique needs. Whether it's navigating the complexities of healthcare, seeking assistance from the Opioid Replacement Therapy (ORT), or connecting with another agency, our team is here to guide you every step of the way. Your well-being is our priority, and we are committed to ensuring you get the support you require.
TREATMENT REFERRALS AND GAINS ASSESSMENTS
Embarking on a recovery journey is a significant step, and at The Go-Give Project, we're here to support you through the process. Our Treatment Referrals service is designed to connect you with the right programs tailored to your individual needs. Additionally, we provide GAINS (Global Appraisal of Individual Needs) Assessments to comprehensively understand your unique requirements. Our commitment extends beyond mere connections; we're here for you before, during, and after your journey towards recovery.
WORKSHOPS AND SUPPORT GROUPS
Recognizing that the opposite of addiction is connection, we offer a diverse range of workshops and support groups. These initiatives aim to foster meaningful connections, empowering you to explore your talents and build a robust support system. Whether you're interested in skill-building workshops or seeking a supportive community, our offerings are designed to enhance your personal growth and well-being.
COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS
In collaboration with the John Howard Society, The Go-Give Project provides a safe and non-judgmental environment for individuals seeking to complete their community service hours. We understand the importance of creating a supportive space, and our partnership ensures that you can fulfil your community service obligations while feeling valued and respected.
CONNECTING FAMILIES
It is difficult when your loved ones are in the community with minimal ways of
making contact. Our connecting families program uses a series of informed
consent to let you know that your loved ones are okay!
WELCOMING STREETS
The Welcoming Streets Initiative is a vital program operating in numerous cities across Ontario, designed to create safer and more inclusive communities. This initiative enables our trained outreach workers to respond to non-urgent police calls involving marginalized populations and community members. By addressing situations that do not require immediate police action, our outreach workers provide compassionate and supportive responses, catering to the unique needs of vulnerable individuals.
The Go-Give Project is equipped to handle a range of situations:
• Individual(s) Escalating/In Distress
• Individual(s) Sleeping on the street/property
• Individual(s) with Safety Concerns (Drug/Alcohol Use, fear of overdose)
• Addressing Drug Paraphernalia
• Providing Support/Referrals
• Responding to Heat & Cold Alerts
• Offering Business Support/Resources/Education
• Guiding those seeking clarity on who to contact/what to do
When to call EMS or GSPS (Greater
Sudbury Police Service):
• Individual(s) Unresponsive
• Reporting Theft incidents
• Extreme Escalation Situations involving violence and/or weapons
These situations require immediate attention, and it is
crucial to involve EMS or GSPS promptly for the safety of
all involved parties.
